Habersham resident presses county to close public-employee pay gap

A Habersham County property owner, Wade Rhodes, urged the County Commission at its Dec. 1, 2022 called meeting to pass a pay study, arguing that public employees should not be paid less than private-sector workers doing the same jobs. The meeting minutes document his request and his concern about wage competition, but do not record a commission vote or decision on it.
