Pending state-grant guidance stalls Habersham courthouse demolition bidding

Habersham County had not formally opened bidding for proposed courthouse demolition as of its June 1, 2023 regular meeting, after county staff told commissioners that the work could not be put out for bid while the county awaited guidance on a pending application to the Georgia Department of Community Affairs.
