Habersham recycling-building discussion reaches estimate stage, not a funding decision

Habersham County’s latest documented step toward a possible recycling processing building is an April 15, 2024 Board of Commissioners work-session question about whether its projected cost was included in an upcoming budget request. Commissioner Akins asked Mr. Vickers about the estimate, and Vickers said he had worked with the county manager and finance director on an estimate for his capital-improvement-plan requests. The exchange did not record a board vote, a budget appropriation or authorization to construct a facility.
