Habersham approves five-lot subdivision road rule aimed at curbing driveway sprawl

Habersham County commissioners unanimously approved a land-development amendment in May 2023 requiring subdivisions of five or more lots to include an internal subdivision road. The change is intended to keep a new development’s access organized through a shared road rather than adding multiple individual driveways along an existing county road.
