Habersham commission approves bundled contracts and purchases despite lone dissent

The Habersham County Board of Commissioners approved an amended consent agenda in a 4-1 vote at its May 20, 2024 meeting, moving forward a package that included contracts for lawn care, waste disposal and medical supplies, landfill equipment purchases and an airport hangar lease. Commissioner Mealor made the motion, Commissioner Palmer seconded it, and Commissioner Harkness cast the lone dissenting vote, according to drafted meeting minutes.
