Habersham County Airport Commission backs fuel agreement with Corporate Aircraft Association; county commissioners take it up next

In January, the Habersham County Airport Commission reported that a CAA application was on hold until the airfield lighting project was finished.

By July, a CAA update was back on the commission's agenda, and the commission's minutes reported the airport had won its bid to become a CAA preferred fixed base operator.

In August the Airport Commission voted 4-0 to approve the CAA agreement and recommend it to the Board of Commissioners for final approval; a county packet likewise noted the commission's recommendation from that meeting.

The Board of Commissioners then put a Corporate Aircraft Association fuel contract on its own agenda. A county packet describes the agreement as designating the county airport as the Corporate Aircraft Association's preferred fixed base operator for a three-year term, with a $1.40-per-gallon into-plane fee priced $0.10 below other Part 91 rates and one CPI-based price adjustment roughly 18 months in.
