Habersham advances fire-alarm rules, but whether they became law remains unclear

Habersham County commissioners unanimously moved proposed fire-alarm rules forward on Jan. 27, 2025, voting 5-0 to accept the first reading of an amendment to Chapter 30, the county’s Fire Prevention and Protection code. The proposal would add a new Article III, titled “Fire Alarms,” but the recorded action documents only that initial step.
