Habersham Airport Plans New Competition for Hangar Space After Lease Terms End Earlier Award

Habersham County Airport staff said Oct. 8, 2024, that they intended to advertise a new request for proposals the next day for three available hangar spaces. The proposed deadline was Nov. 12, according to an airport update delivered at the regular meeting. The planned solicitation followed the withdrawal of a bidder that had been awarded a space through an earlier RFP but later declined it after its request for a 40-year ground lease was denied.
