Habersham generator plan remains unconfirmed more than four years after grant application

Habersham County’s proposed backup generators for the Road Department and Administrative Building remain unconfirmed as completed projects more than four years after county staff said they were applying for grant funding. At the Board of Commissioners’ March 21, 2022 meeting, County Manager Alicia Vaughn reported that EMA/E911 Director Lynn Smith was seeking a grant for two generators, one at each facility; the meeting record does not establish an award or installation.
