Habersham officials highlight $15.4 million gap between approved and year-end FY 2021 budgets

Habersham County’s chief financial officer told commissioners at a July 22, 2024 called meeting that the FY 2021 budget presented and approved by the Commission totaled $37.1 million, while the county’s year-end actual budget reached $52.5 million—a difference of $15.4 million. CFO Sims said earlier presentations had omitted items, including the SPLOST fund, from the picture commissioners were given.
