Habersham Assessors Leave Legal-Counsel Question Pending Without Approved Budget

The Habersham County Board of Assessors left a possible move to obtain legal counsel unresolved at its July 9, 2024 meeting, after discussing attorney Wink Verdery as a possibility and hearing that the board did not yet have an approved budget. Chairman Bill Terry asked that “Legal Counsel” be placed under Miscellaneous Old Business on the next agenda rather than bringing the discussion to a documented decision that day.
