Habersham airport terminal expansion remains unresolved without commissioners’ recorded action

More than three years after the Habersham County Airport Authority unanimously recommended a terminal-expansion bid award, the public record still does not establish whether the Habersham County Board of Commissioners acted on it. At the authority’s Feb. 6, 2023 regular meeting, members recommended that commissioners approve the ROFA and Terminal Expansion bid award, but the approved meeting minutes do not document a subsequent county decision or any construction.
