Habersham Hospital Authority Seat Remains Unresolved in Public Record

More than three years after Ken Johnson’s at-large Hospital Authority term expired on June 30, 2023, Habersham County’s public record still does not identify who, if anyone, ultimately filled the seat. The last documented action came July 17, 2023, when county commissioners voted unanimously, 5-0, to approve a slate of names for the Hospital Authority’s consideration. The meeting minutes record the vote but neither name the people sent forward nor report a final choice by the authority.
