Tree Growth Put Habersham Airport’s Runway-Approach Guidance in Question

Habersham County airport officials said June 6, 2022, that tree growth was interfering with the airport’s Precision Approach Path Indicator, or PAPI, the lighting system that gives pilots visual guidance on a runway approach. During their regular meeting, officials said they would work to schedule an FAA safety flight as soon as possible, while also describing the flight check as roughly a year away.
