Habersham tax board approves 2025 conservation-use applications in rounds through the year

In May 2025, the Habersham County Board of Tax Assessors voted unanimously to approve all new Conservation Use Valuation Assessment (CUVA) applications for properties over 10 acres for Tax Year 2025, following appraisal staff's recommendation for approval.

The board approved additional batches of new CUVA applications for properties over 10 acres at its July and August meetings, again on staff's recommendation and by unanimous vote.

In September, the board approved the remaining new CUVA applications over 10 acres, along with a separate batch later that month. It also approved a Conservation Use application from Daniel Card on the condition that 2 acres be excluded from the covenant for buildings on the property.

The board continued approving individual conservation-use covenants into the fall, including one for 600 Fenwick Woods LLC in October and one for Earl Helton in November, both for Tax Year 2025.
