The story
The Franklin Springs City Council took up a proposal to lower speed limits on streets near the college campus.
The council approved reducing the speed limit to 15 MPH on Spring St, Turner St, Aaron St, Aaron St Ext., Advocate Dr. and Franklin Heights, and authorized law enforcement to place pedestrian crosswalks where deemed necessary. The motion, made by Josh Walden and seconded by Bill Bell, carried. The action includes purchase of 15 signs and 15 poles.
