Franklin Springs council tests support for alcohol-by-the-drink, but results remain unknown

Franklin Springs City Council authorized a phone poll on Oct. 17, 2024, asking residents whether they favor alcohol by the drink in the city. Councilman Bill Bell made the motion, Tom Wilson seconded it, and the motion carried, according to the council minutes. The same minutes said the results were expected at the next meeting, but they do not record an outcome of the survey or a later council decision on the question.
