Franklin Springs approves first chapter of residential code, but rollout details remain unclear

Franklin Springs City Council approved Chapter 1 of the current International Residential Code at its Aug. 14, 2025 meeting, accepting a recommendation from the city building inspector. Bill Bell moved to approve the chapter, Josh Wilson seconded, and the motion carried, according to the council minutes.
