On February 19, 2026, the Georgia EPD's Air Protection Branch reported that QTS Fayetteville I had applied, in an application received January 9, 2026, to add 337 more emergency generators and nine more fire pumps and to raise the facility's fuel consumption limit. EPD's analysis showed the change would raise annual emissions of NOx, CO, VOC, particulate matter and greenhouse gases, and would make the facility a Title V major source.
