The Franklin County Board of Commissioners first took up Sewell Road on January 27, when members discussed making the road a dead end with a turn around.
The matter returned to the board's agenda on February 2. Commissioners voted 5-0 to close either the Highway 59 end or the South Fairview end of Sewell Road, pending communication with the Board of Education and the State.
