The story
Wonder Stag LLC asked Franklin County to rezone 4.14 acres fronting the north side of Dogwood Cove from AG (Agricultural District) to RR (Rural Residential District). On September 18, 2025, the Franklin County Planning Commission took up the request and voted 4-0, on a motion by David Kiser seconded by Kenneth Dove, to approve it.
The Franklin County Board of Commissioners considered the same rezoning, case RZ-2025-022, at its October 6, 2025 meeting. The board voted 5-0 to approve the change from AG to RR for the 4.14-acre tract.
