The story
Georgia EPD's Air Protection Branch issued a notice on Oct. 9, 2026, recommending issuance of Air Quality Permit No. 2821-063-0041-S-06-3 to Polynt Composites USA, Inc. for removal of baghouse BH-1 and Permit Conditions 5.5 and 5.6. The notice lists limits of 25 tons per year of NOX and VOC and 10 to 25 tons per year of hazardous air pollutants.
A separate EPD Air Protection Branch notice, dated Nov. 13, 2026, describes the request as a synthetic minor permit amendment for the Clayton County facility, stating that Polynt is requesting the removal of two permit monitoring conditions associated with BH-1.
