Franklin County IBA Members Decline to Swear to Actions Taken Before Their Tenure

Members of the Franklin County Industrial Building Authority agreed at their May 1, 2024 meeting that they should not sign an affidavit requested by the county tax commissioner concerning earlier board actions. Mayor Umbehant said he could not make the sworn statement because he was not on the IBA when those actions occurred; Mayor Turman, Mayor Wallace and Lunsford agreed, according to the preliminary meeting minutes.
