Georgia EPD drops turbine monitoring conditions after requiring NOx emissions monitors

A Georgia Environmental Protection Division draft permit proposed requiring a Continuous Emissions Monitoring System (CEMS) to measure NOx and diluent concentration on the facility's combustion turbine and duct burner stacks.

In a permit narrative dated September 29, 2026, EPD's Air Protection Branch states that four prior CAM Plan monitoring conditions on the permit — 5.2.7, 5.2.8, 5.2.10 and 5.2.11 — have been removed, with the turbines exempted from them because of the NOx CEMS requirement.
