Toccoa’s higher water price leaves Demorest response unresolved

Demorest officials reported at the City Council’s Feb. 4, 2025 meeting that Toccoa had raised the wholesale-water price it charges the city from $3.21 to $3.30 per thousand gallons, effective Jan. 1. The increase was presented in the city manager’s report as an already-effective change, while the meeting minutes do not show the council taking action on it that night.
