Demorest council unanimously approves $11,770 state drinking-water invoice

Demorest City Council unanimously authorized payment of a $11,770 EPD Drinking Water invoice on Aug. 6, 2024, after Mayor Harkness told the council the charge was federally mandated. Councilman Bennett made the motion, Councilman Ferguson seconded it, and the measure passed 4-0.
