Demorest Council Clears Path for Trail Life Lease of Scout Hut

Demorest City Council voted 4-0 on Dec. 3, 2024, to move ahead with a lease agreement prepared by the city attorney for Trail Life’s use of the city-owned Scout Hut. Mayor Harkness called for action on the proposed agreement, and Councilman Bennett made the motion, seconded by Councilman Ferguson; the signed minutes record unanimous approval.
