Demorest Farmhouse Proposal Remains Unresolved After Appraisal Inquiry

A proposal for Demorest’s Downtown Development Authority to buy the Farmhouse remains unresolved more than two years after it was raised at the authority’s May 8, 2024 meeting. Steven and Marilyn proposed the purchase, and Wright said he would speak with an appraiser and report back; the record through Aug. 27, 2026 does not show the authority approving a deal.
