Demorest council approves lease for Food 4 Kids to use City Hall cafeteria closets

The council's approval lets a food program use storage space at City Hall, even though a lease document has not yet been written.

The story

Food 4 Kids asked to lease two closets in the cafeteria at Demorest City Hall. At a February 4, 2025 work session, council members noted no lease had been drawn up yet, but City Manager Mitchell and Mr. Musselwhite agreed to create one.

Later that day, the Demorest City Council voted 4-0 to move forward with the lease that Musselwhite and Mitchell would work out.
