Demorest weighs fire-department spending against a 3-to-5-year ISO goal

Demorest City Council put the city’s fire-service ambitions and their possible cost before the public on Oct. 15, 2024, when Fire Chief Scheuerer presented ISO-related issues and additional Fire Department budget needs. The chief asked the mayor, council and residents what ISO rating and what kind of department they wanted Demorest to build toward over the next three to five years.
