Demorest Weighs DOT Streetscape Chance as Funding Deadline Looms

Demorest City Council reviewed a potential Georgia Department of Transportation streetscape project during its Aug. 6, 2024 work session, after Mayor Rick Harkness said a short DOT funding opportunity was open with an Aug. 15 deadline. Mr. Musselwhite presented concepts for two proposed phases of work, but the signed minutes do not show the council voting to seek the money or authorizing the project.
