Demorest Farmhouse Lease Talks Leave Repairs and Upstairs Use Unsettled

Demorest’s Downtown Development Authority discussed a proposed Farmhouse lease on Feb. 27, 2024, outlining who would handle major building-system problems and limiting the tenant’s use to the downstairs portion of the property. Under the terms discussed, the authority would take responsibility for heating and air systems, while the tenant would address plumbing and electrical issues; residential guests would not be allowed upstairs.
