Demorest DDA’s Lease Talks With Piedmont Leave Key Terms Unresolved

Demorest’s Downtown Development Authority discussed concerns involving an existing lease with Piedmont University on Feb. 27, 2024, ending with university Vice President Wright agreeing to two changes after Mark Musselwhite asked to continue under the current lease. The signed meeting minutes, however, do not identify the leased property or describe the changes that were accepted.
