Demorest’s plan to use opioid funds for firefighter gear remains unresolved after billing error

Demorest City Council was told at its April 9, 2024 work session that $8,600 in 2023 opioid funds previously approved for firefighter turnout gear had not paid for the gear after all: staff said the purchase was charged to the city’s general fund by mistake.
