At a February 4, 2025 work session, city staff presented Demorest City Council with two firework proposals for the July 4th event: Pyrotecnico at $27,500 and Sky-High Pyrotechnics at $20,625.
Later that same day, in its regular session, the council took up July 4th planning and approved a fireworks contract with Pyrotecnico for $27,500 by a 3-0 vote.
On March 5, 2025, the Downtown Development Authority discussed planning for the July 4th Celebration, including a schedule with live music from 1-5 p.m. and a cake walk from 5-6 p.m.
