Demorest ARPA spending plan remains stalled over sewer-bore contract question

Demorest City Council’s proposed American Rescue Plan Act spending package remained on hold after its Nov. 12, 2024 meeting, when members again reviewed a list of water-system and fire-department needs but did not vote. Council minutes say officials were still discussing the sewer-bore contractor issue, which had prevented action on the proposed allocation the month before.
