At an October 7 public hearing, the council discussed a tentative millage rate increase to 7.16 mills, .567 mill above the 6.593-mill rollback rate, an 8.60% increase that would raise taxes by $28.35 on a $175,000 homestead property and $39.69 on a nonhomestead property of the same value.
