Cornelia DDA Has an Incubator Idea but No Downtown Project to Fund

Cornelia’s Downtown Development Authority raised the prospect of turning the former brick hardware building beside the city amphitheater into a business incubator during an April 2025 work-plan discussion, but the authority said it first needed to identify a downtown project before preparing a funding proposal for the H&T board and City Commission. The discussion did not document the selection of the hardware building, or any other project, as the authority’s next priority.
