The story
In October 2025, the Cornelia City Commission voted 4-0 to authorize Mayor Borrow to sign a memorandum of understanding with the Boy Scouts regarding the Scout Hut.
In January 2026, the commission approved a new lease agreement with Boy Scout Troop 24 for the Boy Scout Hut at City Park, replacing the city's 1953 agreement with the troop. The vote was unanimous.
