Cornelia’s Galloway Court project still lacks a documented finish after 2023 schedule shift

Cornelia’s Water Authority agenda for April 24, 2023 said Higgins Construction’s Galloway Court project was underway and expected to be completed in May, revising the public picture of a project that had earlier carried conflicting completion estimates. But the agenda recorded no Authority action and did not establish that construction in the Wood Street area west of Hoyt Street was ever finished.

The unanswered question matters because the work was tied to an $850,000 fiscal-year 2022 Community Development Block Grant and was described as bringing water, sewer, stormwater and road repairs to the area.
