Cornelia earns 2024 Main Street accreditation as Gem Community bid remains unresolved

Cornelia’s Main Street Program received accreditation for 2024 after city representatives presented its annual assessment to the Main Street Board in Athens on Feb. 29, a completed recognition recorded in Downtown Development Authority minutes. At the same time, the authority discussed investigating whether Cornelia could pursue Gem Community status, a higher designation whose outcome is not recorded.
