In September 2025, the Clarkesville City Council voted 4-0 to hire Horwath HTL to conduct a hotel study for the Monroe Street property.
By February 2026, the study had been completed and the report delivered to the city. Council discussed the findings during a work session and talked through next steps for finding a developer or investor for the project.
