Carnesville approves SPLOST-funded map of water and sewer system

Carnesville City Council unanimously approved a proposal from the Georgia Mountains Regional Commission on March 25, 2025, to map the city’s water and sewer system using Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax, or SPLOST, funds. The action at the council’s called meeting authorizes the city to direct that revenue toward documenting the utility network that serves Carnesville.
