The story
In November 2025, the Carnesville City Council took up the question of shelter fees at the city park but voted unanimously to table the discussion.
The matter returned to the council in February 2026, when it approved a resolution amending the city's Schedule of Fees to add rental fees for the park's splash pad pavilion and three picnic shelters. The vote was unanimous.
