Baldwin council backs emergency declaration as city seeks water-system funding

Baldwin’s City Council voted 5-0 on July 8, 2025, to ratify Mayor Almagno’s June 26 declaration of emergency over issues with the city water system. The action formally placed the council behind a declaration city officials linked to an application for emergency funding from the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority, known as GEFA.
