Baldwin approves up to $8,000 as aging Stonepile Street water line keeps breaking

Baldwin City Council unanimously authorized an emergency water-line repair expense of up to $8,000 for Stonepile Street at its May 27, 2025 meeting, responding to repeated breaks on what staff described as a 65-year-old line. The 4-0 action allows the city to use Public Works money for the repair beyond the department’s ordinary spending authority.
