During an August 5, 2025 work session, the Baldwin City Council considered a resolution to consolidate the "Shop with a Hero" fund with the Community Events Fund, renaming the "Shop with a Hero" account at United Community Bank for city Community Events and authorizing the city administrator to make the necessary changes to the account.
Later that day, the council approved the Community Events Bank Account Resolution #2025-07166R as presented, by a 4-0 vote.
