Baldwin’s share of countywide E-911 radio upgrade remains stalled by tower, infrastructure problems

Baldwin staff reported at a Nov. 4, 2024 work session that the countywide E-911 radio upgrade—an effort to which the city’s share was just under $265,000—had been significantly delayed by problems locating towers and installing infrastructure. The update came during a review of public-safety projects connected to federal American Rescue Plan Act money Baldwin had previously committed.
