Baldwin’s radio-system funding question remains open as a newer SPLOST proposal emerges

Baldwin’s proposed switch to SPLOST VII money for a city radio system remains unresolved, even as a related E-911 radio-purchase matter returned to the City Council’s agenda on June 26, 2025. That later proceeding proposed 48 radios and system setup at an anticipated fixed cost of $244,021.98 and recommended SPLOST VII funding, but it did not establish that Council approved the purchase or funding plan. The related meeting minutes also said the county had not approved the intergovernmental agreement.
