Baldwin lets city staff approve sales of surplus items worth $500 or less

Baldwin City Council voted 4-0 on Sept. 23, 2024, to give the city’s chief administrative officer authority to approve sales of surplus personal property valued at $500 or less. The action approved the second reading of Personal Property Sale Authorization Ordinance #2024-09151, removing the need to bring qualifying surplus lists to the council for approval before a sale can proceed.
